Smart storage integration is key to the design, featuring a high-capacity, integrated appliance cabinet with a smooth roller door to keep surfaces clutter-free, alongside seamlessly housed modern appliances like the stainless steel French-door refrigerator. Every detail—from the crisp subway-tiled splashbacks to the custom timber mantels and open shelving—has been meticulously crafted to create a timeless, hardworking space that honors its regional Victoria surroundings.

The Challenge: Balancing the character of a heritage home with the demands of a modern, high-traffic country kitchen, all while seamlessly integrating eclectic elements like the dual-fuel cooker and wood-burning stove.

The Design Solution: I developed a bespoke joinery plan that anchors the space around the existing architecture, using premium 2-pac Shaker-style cabinetry to provide a clean, cohesive canvas. To maintain a functional, clutter-free environment, I integrated a high-capacity appliance cabinet with a custom roller door, concealing kitchen technology while keeping essentials within reach. The layout focuses on ergonomic efficiency, positioning the farmhouse sink and prep areas to maximise garden views and natural light, while the addition of open shelving and timber mantels bridges the gap between old-world rustic warmth and contemporary usability.
